Our Call to Purpose
The story behind L&L Concierge Home Care is deeply personal and rooted in the love and care my grandparents poured into me. They raised me with unwavering dedication, and it was incredibly difficult to witness their transition from vibrant, healthy grandparents to aging individuals in need of care.
My grandmother’s journey was particularly transformative for me. She transitioned in 2011 after battling Alzheimer’s disease. Watching her go from walking and talking to being bedbound, unable to recognize herself or those who loved her, was heartbreaking. In her right state of mind, she often expressed her wish to remain at home if she ever needed care. Unfortunately, my grandparents did not have the financial means to afford home care services. Determined to honor her wishes, I took a home health class to learn how to care for her myself. That experience taught me not only the skills necessary to provide care but also the profound importance of compassion, dignity, and love in caregiving.
Today, my grandfather, who is 101 years old, continues to thrive at home with minimal assistance. He stands as a testament to resilience and the power of aging with dignity in a familiar environment. My grandparents are the foundation of my vision and dream—they are the driving force behind my career as a nurse in the medical field.
